RESULTS OF USING AUTOLOGOUS PLATELET-RICH FIBRIN PLATE TO REPLACE ARTIFICIAL MATERIALS IN MIDDLE EAR SURGERY AT HAI PHONG INTERNATIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL, 2021 - 2024

Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu này nhằm mô tả kết quả sử dụng mảnh PRF tự thân trong phẫu thuật tai giữa. Áp dụng thiết kế nghiên cứu mô tả tiến cứu tại Khoa Tai Mũi Họng – Bệnh viện Đa khoa quốc tế Hải Phòng từ 01/01/2021 đến 31/12/2024 trên 174 bệnh nhân được phẫu thuật tai giữa có sử dụng mảnh PRF và được theo dõi sau mổ trong vòng 3 tháng sau mổ. Kết quả cho thấy các trường hợp sử dụng mảnh Fibrin giàu tiểu cầu (PRF) thay thế cho vật liệu nhân tạo có khả năng dung nạp tốt, tỉ lệ các triệu chứng khó chịu sau mổ (đau nhẹ 92,5%, ngứa 6,9%, ù tai đầy tai 43,1%) không khác biệt so với sử dụng vật liệu nhân tạo, không gây tác dụng phụ (dị ứng, nhiễm trùng), 90,2% số ca có hốc mổ tai khô và lành thương nhanh hơn. Nghiên cứu cho thấy sử dụng PRF trong phẫu thuật tai giữa cho kết quả tốt và không có tác dụng phụ.

Summary:
This study aimed to describe the resuts of using autologous platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in middle ear surgery. A prospectively descriptive study was conducted at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Hai Phong International General Hospital, from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024. A total of 174 patients underwent middle ear surgery in which PRF membranes were used in place of artificial materials. Patients were followed postoperatively for three months. The use of PRF was well tolerated. The incidence of postoperative symptoms mild pain (92.5%), itching (6.9%), and tinnitus (43.1%) was comparable to that observed with artificial materials. No adverse effects such as allergic reactions or infections were reported. Additionally, 90.2% of cases demonstrated a dry and well-healed ear within the follow-up period. The application of PRF in middle ear surgery yields favorable outcomes, promotes healing, and is associated no side effects.
